This french toast is so delicious! I’m actually super impressed with my recipe for this one. It’s also vegan and loaded with lots of banana, maple syrup and cinnamon!
Vegan, Plant-based, Vegetarian, Dairy-free
Total time: 10 minutes
Recipe is for 2 pieces of toast.
- 2 pieces of bread (your choice)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon (melted) coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar
It’s okay to have small clumps of banana in your mixture.Top with (optional):
- Extra maple syrup
- Coconut flakes
Step 1: In a medium sized bowl, mash/mix together your main ingredients. Next, pour your mixture into a wide, flat bowl (or deep plate).
Step 2: Preheat your frying pan on medium heat.
Step 3: Soak your pieces of bread in the mixture, making sure that you cover both sides and all edges. Next place your coated bread in your heated frying pan.
Step 4: Cook each piece of toast for about 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.It’s optional if you want to top your french toast with extra maple syrup, coconut pieces and/or sprinkles! If you guys have any other topping suggestions, let me know in the comments below!
